Robinhood says its 2025 crypto sales and exchanges appear on Form 1099-DA inside the Robinhood Markets, Inc. Consolidated 1099 PDF, rather than in a standalone crypto download.

The source check for this page was completed September 26, 2026. For the wider exchange list, see the 2025 exchange 1099-DA directory.

Does Robinhood issue a 1099-DA for 2025?

For 2025 Robinhood Crypto sales and exchanges, the customer form is Form 1099-DA.

Robinhood says this form replaces its prior Form 1099-B for covered digital-asset dispositions beginning January 1, 2025, as described in its How to read your 1099-DA help page.

That statement describes Robinhood's documented tax-form policy for the 2025 tax year. It does not mean every Robinhood account receives a form. Your activity, account records, and the transactions Robinhood includes in its reporting determine what appears in your document bundle.

The federal baseline is also specific to 2025. Brokers report gross proceeds for digital-asset dispositions beginning January 1, 2025. The general IRS furnishing deadline for 2025 information statements was February 17, 2026, identified by the IRS in Fact Sheet FS-2025-06 dated September 25, 2025.

Robinhood gave its own customer-facing delivery date for the Consolidated 1099: February 17, 2026.

Do not search your downloads only for a file named 1099-DA. That was the mistake we saw in a generic 2025 account review: the crypto pages were inside the larger consolidated PDF.

Where and when to find the form

Open the Tax center in the Robinhood app or in web classic. Select the Robinhood Markets, Inc. Consolidated 1099 PDF.

Robinhood combines the Robinhood Crypto Consolidated 1099 with its other Consolidated 1099 documents in that file, according to its tax-document access instructions.

Robinhood stated that its 2025 Consolidated 1099 would be delivered on February 17, 2026. That is Robinhood's stated customer delivery date. The IRS's general furnishing deadline for 2025, also February 17, 2026, is a separate federal deadline described in IRS Fact Sheet FS-2025-06.

A large PDF may be easier to open through web classic. After downloading it, search within the document for 1099-DA, Robinhood Crypto, or the transaction section. The crypto component can sit beside securities-related components in the same PDF, so the file name alone does not identify which pages contain your crypto information.

What the form reports, and what it leaves out

For the 2025 tax year, Robinhood says the customer can see gross proceeds and cost basis where basis is available, while only gross proceeds are reported to the IRS. A customer-visible basis number is not the same thing as a basis amount transmitted to the IRS or a final calculation of taxable gain.

Robinhood separately says that for 2026 it will report gross proceeds and cost basis to both customers and the IRS, including cost basis for transferred crypto assets. That is a statement about 2026 reporting, not a change to the 2025 data shown in the table below.

Tax year Data shown to Robinhood customer Data Robinhood says it reports to IRS Transferred-asset basis treatment
2025 Gross proceeds and basis where available Gross proceeds only A customer may enter basis for transferred crypto; the entered basis can appear to the customer but is not reported to the IRS for 2025
2026 Gross proceeds and cost basis Gross proceeds and cost basis Robinhood says it will include cost basis for transferred crypto assets

Robinhood also documents a qualifying-stablecoin rule for the 2025 tax year. Sales of a designated qualifying stablecoin are reported once that stablecoin's annual proceeds sum exceeds $10,000 (current figure at the IRS). This is an annual aggregate threshold for that stablecoin, not a $10,000 test applied independently to every transaction.

Robinhood's Taxes and forms page supplies the platform-specific statement.

The practical distinction is simple: read the customer copy, then test it against your records. Do not treat a basis line visible in the PDF as proof that the IRS received that basis for 2025.

What to check against your records

Transferred crypto deserves extra attention. For 2025 sales, Robinhood allowed customers to enter cost basis in the app for transferred crypto. Robinhood then marked all tax lots for that crypto as customer-provided.

The basis could appear to the customer where available, while Robinhood did not report it to the IRS for the 2025 tax year.

The manual-entry window ran through January 14, 2026. Robinhood stated that edits made after January 7, 2026 could delay delivery of the form. A late edit therefore gives you two things to compare: the final form you received and the transaction or transfer records supporting the entry.

A documented example is a 2025 sale of transferred crypto whose manually supplied basis appeared in the customer view but was not sent to the IRS. The customer still needs source records for that figure. Robinhood's display is one record in the reconciliation, not the entire history of the asset.

Use this form-versus-record checklist:

Step Check
1 Select the 2025 tax year before opening or downloading the document.
2 Record the issuer as Robinhood Markets, Inc. and save the exact document name, Consolidated 1099.
3 Compare every sale or exchange date and gross proceeds with your Robinhood transaction exports.
4 Mark each transfer-in asset and locate the outside-wallet or prior-platform record supporting its basis.
5 Note whether the form shows customer-provided basis and whether that figure matches your records.
6 Write down the question and attach the relevant form or export before contacting Robinhood tax support about a correction.

This checklist is a private reconciliation aid, not a diagnosis that a form is wrong. A date mismatch may come from the activity export, a transfer record, or the form presentation. Keep the original PDF and the supporting export together.

If a missing basis line is your issue, use the guide to reconcile missing cost basis. It covers the record work without asking you to rely on a number that has no source behind it.

Other forms and who receives which document

Robinhood's documented crypto-sales form for 2025 is Form 1099-DA. Robinhood also documents Form 1099-MISC for $600 or more in crypto rewards within the consolidated document. The rewards form is not the crypto-sales 1099-DA.

The document decision aid below stays within those stated conditions:

Your documented activity Document to inspect What this page establishes
2025 crypto sale or exchange Form 1099-DA inside the Consolidated 1099 This is the documented sales and exchanges component
$600 or more in crypto rewards Form 1099-MISC inside the Consolidated 1099 Robinhood documents this rewards form threshold
Securities activity The relevant brokerage component of the Consolidated 1099 Inspect the securities pages; no form-specific promise is made here
Other activity or no documented activity The consolidated document and your account records Robinhood's available documentation does not establish a broader account-by-account result

This aid does not calculate tax or infer eligibility. It helps you open the right section before comparing amounts.

Corrections and support

Robinhood states that a customer may receive a corrected Form 1099 when a necessary correction applies. That statement does not promise a particular result for an individual account.

Before contacting Robinhood's current tax support, have the Consolidated 1099 PDF, the relevant Robinhood transaction export, transfer records, and any basis entry details ready. Explain the specific line or transaction that needs attention. If a corrected form is issued, preserve both the original and corrected documents with your reconciliation notes.

What this means for your filing

Use the Robinhood Markets, Inc. Consolidated 1099 as one input for the 2025 tax year. Start with the crypto pages, then compare their dates, proceeds, and available basis with Robinhood exports and records for assets transferred into Robinhood.

The transferred-asset distinction matters most. A customer-provided basis figure may appear in the 2025 customer document without being reported to the IRS. Activity outside Robinhood also belongs in your records review, including transfers that connect the account to another platform or wallet.

For the wider mechanics, read what a 1099-DA reports, then use the method for reconciling missing cost basis. When your records are reconciled, the guide to reporting reconciled sales on Form 8949 covers the separate filing process.

This page does not decide how your individual return should be prepared.

Questions about Robinhood's form

Is my Robinhood crypto 1099-DA a separate document from my stock 1099?

No. Robinhood places the crypto component inside the Robinhood Markets, Inc. Consolidated 1099 PDF, alongside other consolidated brokerage documents. Look for the 1099-DA section within that PDF.

Where do I find Robinhood's 2025 crypto 1099-DA?

Open the Tax center in the Robinhood app or web classic, then open the Robinhood Markets, Inc. Consolidated 1099 PDF. Robinhood stated that the 2025 document was delivered February 17, 2026.

What if I entered my crypto cost basis after January 7, 2026?

Robinhood stated that edits after January 7, 2026 could delay delivery, while manual basis entry for 2025 sales was available through January 14, 2026. Compare the issued document with your records and take the supporting PDF, export, and transfer history to Robinhood tax support if a line needs correction.

Does Robinhood send my 2025 crypto cost basis to the IRS?

No, not for the 2025 reporting scope described by Robinhood. Basis may appear to the customer where available, but Robinhood says only gross proceeds were reported to the IRS for 2025.

Are Robinhood crypto rewards on the 1099-DA?

No. Robinhood documents $600 or more in crypto rewards on Form 1099-MISC within the consolidated document. The 1099-DA covers the documented 2025 crypto sales and exchanges.

The 2025 exchange 1099-DA directory is the hub for issuer-specific document paths.

Bitstamp's own post-acquisition tax-form instructions cover a different company's process and do not establish that Bitstamp documents merge into Robinhood's PDF.

Fidelity Crypto's customer-visible basis distinction addresses a related brokerage-document issue, while Webull's state-dependent crypto form issuer covers another issuer's process.
